Planing your trip

Leaving the UNG Campus heading north to Empire MI

A 15 hour travel day is a lot of driving but it can be done. I try to leave early like 5 am on the road to leave time for a couple stops. and to arrive by about 9/10pm.

If you chose to take your time and travel over a couple days that is great and gives you more time to relax.

Planing your Road trip.

- Make a playlist - all good roadtrips need a soundtrack.

- bring snacks, of course there are places to stop along the way but not all gas station food is boring and always the same.

- plan some stops along the way. Below I have listed some stops you may like to make but look at your rout and look for things that may interested you. I always need to stretch my legs and would rather do that looking at something interesting rather than another gustation or rest area.

- bring a paper map. I know. I never use one ether. and you probably will not need it. But is fun to record your road trip. make notes on the map, highlight your path, draw pictures of the things you stoped to see. siting in a car for hours is boring and it can add this tines bit of entertainment and create a record of your trip.

- This of course will be a Sunday road trip and this effects what may be open but your return tip will give you the opportunity to see what was closed.
